Home alone!
It is a drowsy Saturday afternoon and i'm in my cube!! The office is so much deserted that the Security person is the only person left in my floor excluding me. Happy that everyone else is having a good weekend.

Coming to the sad part.. I am here since i am Home Alone! ( Well, Dont ask me why i am here. Simply because i did not want to cook @ home, and eat it all alone myself. )
I am just praying that my parents come back soon!!
The deadly silence is just next to horrible that i try to fill the air with some song or the other even when i go to sleep.

I later discovered that this can lead to so much horror.
My playlist had 'Raa..Raa' song of Chandramukhi somehow.
It was all fine till the 'Lakalakalaka..' came. Uff!!!I got so damn scared that i started sweating in my AC room @ 1:30 am.
My brother also admitted that he doesnt listen to this song when he is alone.

I really wish there was some end to this "women should cook" thing. I say this and the person who cooks at home is still only my mother... :(

Yeah, that would be great if all guys think like this and take-over the kitchen! But it doesnt really happen. I've heard from most of my married friends that their husbands promised to help them in the kitchen work before wedding (which was one of the reasons for those girls to marry them), but they end up only watching TV after coming from their day's work.

I think, most of the women love to cook for their family. Even though they feel tired or whatever, they would still want to do give the best food bundled with love. *Saying with lots of pride, and lifting the collar though the salwar doesnt have one*

Why is cooking so detesting?

Don't know why working people (not only women as Suraj says) hate cooking their own food. Over the last two years I have had plenty of opportunities to cook and now I have kind of started cooking decently.

Whoever said Chennai can't have a second Arusuvai Natarajan;-)

Oh, yeah! Who said India cant have a second Arusuvai Natarajan, huh!
Just keep developing more passion towards it so that your cooking will improve tremendously after a few years. ;-)

Start it now!
Add a new recipe to your list now- Baingan dhoi, a Bong dish (Baingan - brinjal, dhoi- dhahi or curd).
1. Fry the brinjals (4 for 2)in little oil and keep them aside.
2. Fry onions cut long with lot of mustard seeds (tadka) till it becomes deep brown.
3. Add garam masala, and dhaniya powder and fry again.
4. Now add half a glass of curd.
5. Add the required salt and a spoonful of sugar, as traditionally most of the Bong dishes have sugar.
6. Just mix it all well. Let it cook for sometime and so close it with a lid.
7. Garnish with corriander leaves and serve.
Thats it!!

Yesterday, i tried this and it turned out so yummy!
I know, you are still thinking how weird it can taste as it has curd in it! Ha..ha.. That is why i liked it you see.

That is why one should marry an "Operations" engineer :P They know what it means to get stuff from the 'devel' to 'production'. (from kitchen to the dining table). And they know that when things are fine and doing good, you never get noticed / rewarded but you get to the "lime light" only when things break.

-Suraj, "operations guy" ;)

Hope the Operations "Engineers" do not get promoted to Operations "Managers" as they will forget everything and remember only the "bringing people to the limelight" part.

If I get promoted to an "Operations Manager", I will be wise and make sure that I will do the same job that my engineers are doing. So I will not only know what kind of "shit" is happening in there, but also know how to reward folks O:-)

Thannikulla meenu
Indha dishu romba thenu
Bengali dish paaru
idhoda tastu romba joru.

ha ha ha | hA hA | HA ||

Go back and sing the above lines in 'Kalyana samayal sadham' mode..
