Anger Management
I was feeling so angry and helpless yesterday and did not know how to calm myself down.
I knew that i was responsible for my own mess and was angry with myself.
When i am normally in such a bad state, i cry to let my feelings out and pray a lot.
I was not ok yesterday even after that.

Meanwhile i thought i will extend some help to my mom in cooking.( She was indeed surprised what was wrong with me when i entered the kitchen ).
I started kneading the dough for making rotis. I felt it to be so destressing to beat the dough hard with my hands.
I let out all my anger over the poor dough which was becoming more and more soft (sounding philosophical huh!).
At the end, my dad complimented me that he had never eaten such soft rotis.

I now understand why Indian females (mostly!) rock and roll the vessels in the kitchen whenever they are angry with their husbands. Obviously, who would want to give tasty/smoothy rotis to the husbands as a result of beating the dough hard. :)

But seriously, a few simple tips from me to control anger (or any such feelings)
o) Start kneading dough for rotis.
o) Listen to 'Vellai Pokal Ulagam engum' song from 'Kannathil Muthamittal'. Rahman's voice, the tune and everything about this song is magic.(It really works to calm you down)
o) Talk to your best buddy. (Ofcourse feeling heavenly after this!)

Agree completely on the 'Vellai Pookkal' part. Though, I've never listened to it in order to control Anger. Talking to the 'best buddy' part also helps big time for me.

Take care. I wish I could have been of some use. *cheer*

Kaapaali is magical too :)

Oh! Thanks a lot!
I am fine now :)

A big nod for 'Kaapali is magical too'.

I got DKP's Papanasam Sivan Krithis cassette recently. It is for sure a feast.
Have you listened to 'Eesane indha Ezhalikiranga' song of hers in Chakravaham. It is also too lovely.

Nope... but I have an RTP of DKP in Chakravaham. Amazing stuff, I must say.

I was angry about something today and the first song that came to my mind that I wanted to listen to, to calm down was this ...

in fact that's how I landed on to this page..

Guess, the song does have some effect!
