Current mood: sleepy
Current music:Kanne Navamaniye (BJ's lullaby)

Vaatsalyam - a collection of lullabies by BJ
Bombay Jayashree's 'Vaatsalyam' which is a collection of lullabies in different Indian languages is sure to put the listeners to sleep.

Loved all the songs.
Especially the tamizh numbers (one by Kulasekhara Perumal, and another 'Kanne Navamaniye' a folk lore) have amazing lyrics. 'Omana thingal kidaavo' a famous Malayalam number is also so melodious to listen. I am planning to learn the songs by listening daily, but before i finish listening to one, i am in my deepest sleep.

If one hears tyagaraja songs by nityashree they can make out tamil touch in each one of them. There is this dravidian inclination in her presentation while music bereft of classical devanagari pronounciation is far from finery
